Reflection Journal
Review the day honestly.
The evening question of the Stoic: what did I do well, where did I fall short, what will I do differently. Private and encrypted — for your eyes only.
Tonight's prompt
The teachings that struck you, kept close for the days you need them.
Premeditatio Malorum
Prepare the mind for hardship.
The premeditation of adversity: calmly rehearse what could go wrong, so that if it comes, it finds you ready — and if it doesn't, you spend today in gratitude instead of dread.
Fitness Log
Strength of body, strength of mind.
The Stoics trained the body as a discipline of the soul — hardship chosen, endured, repeated. Log every session. The showing up is the practice.
The Guide
The practice, in brief.
The dichotomy of control
The root of Stoic peace is one distinction: some things are up to you — your judgments, choices, and effort — and some are not — outcomes, other people, the past. Pour your energy into the first and accept the second, and most needless suffering simply ends.
The four virtues
Stoicism measures a life by character, not circumstance. Wisdom (seeing clearly), courage (acting rightly under fear), justice (treating others fairly), and temperance (self-mastery) are the only goods that can't be taken from you. The Virtue Tracker keeps them in front of you daily.
The evening review
Each night, replay the day without flattery or cruelty: where did you act well, where did you slip, what will you do differently tomorrow. This honest accounting, done daily, compounds into real change. That is the Reflection Journal.
Premeditatio malorum
Rehearsing adversity in advance robs it of its shock and reveals how much you'd still endure. Done calmly, it is not pessimism but preparation — and it returns you to today grateful for what you have not lost.
